Prepare for your stay
Though Granite Creek Ranch is a beautiful and fun destination for all ages, it's important to remember that it is a functioning ranch. There will often be cattle in the corrals for doctoring or sorting. Horses, dogs and cats are always around as well as wildlife including deer, elk, moose, coyotes, prairie dogs and a variety of eagles, hawks and other birds. We recommend that long pants and closed toed shoes should be brought with you. Some other good items to pack are sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, and bug spray. And lastly, be prepared to see some gorgeous country and wildlife, so bring your camera.
